Seems like it would be the perfect backpacking tent. I had considered buying it but I wanted something just a tad roomier. The Solo thus far has been good to me: nice and warm, even when it's wet outside.

I've never tried sleeping in a hammock. I'm sure there's a learning curve in there. At my age, not wise for this slo' ol' dog to take on too many new tricks.

SloCraig Priorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01615660788791319852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4750732751716266707.post-90253278615678511432011-03-01T13:42:13.476-08:002011-03-01T13:42:13.476-08:00I use the solitaire tent http://store.eurekatent.c...I use the solitaire tent http://store.eurekatent.com/products/364748/Solitaire_Tent I have been backpacking with it for over 10 years now, its been on 2 Philmont 2 week trips and a few week long in the high sierras. I also took it on my trip from Portland to SD on bicycle, its weighs under 5lbs, its easy to set up and iv stayed dry in heavy storms, as well as warm in the snow. This weekend i will be using my hammock witch is only 2lbs and about 1/5th the size of the tent!

jgrodyJeff Reynoldshttp://www.jeffreynoldsphotography.comnoreply@blogger.com
